The Thing about blog posts is...

...they don't write themselves.
In an effort to avoid putting away the stack of clean laundry sitting on my dresser, I will now write a blog post....

So, now what?

I could talk about what I did today: Took Thalia to the doctor, found out she has an ear infection and a low grade fever. This is why she has been barfing off and on the last week. Went to the Police Station on Elgin so that Jamie could get his long overdue volunteer paperwork sorted out. Rocked a runny nosed baby while she had her nap. Ate a yummy dinner cooked by Jamie. Read to Liam while he jumped on the trampoline.

So now I sit at our lovely desktop, drinking Sprite mixed with some organic pomegranate blueberry juice and think how nice it is that it finally rained. And that there are cookies in the kitchen. And toys on the living room floor. And maybe, just maybe, I should be a grown-up and put my laundry away and pick up the toys. And then I can be me, eat cookies, snuggle on the couch with my husband and watch TV until it is time for bed.

Maybe

A friend posted a question on twitter about naming a blog. And that reminded me that I have a blog. Not that I ever remember to post anything, the fact my last post was November proves this statement. It did get me thinking that maybe I should get my brain in gear and start posting. And if my lazy self complains that I gave nothing interesting or exciting to post about, perhaps I should do more interesting and exciting things. Things more exciting than Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest. And laundry does not count, no matter how thrilling it is to get strawberry stains out of baby clothes. (Oxiclean all the way!) So maybe I will start posting again. Maybe.
