1. Back in August I got a ticket to my very first blogging related event! Ottawa Valley Moms was having a launch party at Brookstreet in September and I figured it would be a fun night out, so I signed up.
2. Then September rolls around and I get an email from Jamie informing me not to make plans for the evening of Sept 14 because he had to work overtime. This caused a flurry of emails that included comments about previous plans, I told you alreadys, it isn't written on the calendar and ended in a panicked "but I was going to go out!"
3. After much planning and falling through of plans, we have come to an arrangement that fufills all the requirements; there will be an adult in the house with our children (thank you Tiff for volunteering your husband), Jamie will be at work when he needs to be and Tiff and I get to go to our party!
4. Now I just need to figure out what to wear. I have two outfits, but they are both dependent on footwear. Footwear I do not currently own. I seem to have the gift of being able to come up with a complete outfit, but my brain (and wardrobe) draws a blank when I get to my ankles. Depressingly bare feet is seldom appropriate.
5. Lucky for me, Jamie is working from home for the day, so at nap time I am making a break for it and heading to Bayshore to look for either flats or boots. Wish me luck, as I have large feet, fat calves and a skinny budget.
6. Unrelated to the OVM Launch, Thalia is now walking all over the place. She still prefers to crawl because she is faster but I figure another month and she'll hardly be crawling anymore.
7. Have to remember to plug in my phone this afternoon so my battery is ready for all the photos and tweets tonight. At least the Mater sticker on my case will match both outfits :)

Seven quick takes (a little late)
1. Jamie popped his head in the door a couple minutes after leaving for work. He found someone's debit card on the front lawn. So I did the usual Canada 411 to see if I could find a phone number for the owner, but no such luck. Called the closest Royal Bank and arranged to drop off the card.
2. Went to the grocery store to buy sugar cream cheese and sour cream. Doesn't my life sound exciting.
3. Came home to make a gluten free Cinnamon Bun Cheesecake for my mother in law's birthday. She has recently decided to go gluten free (a step up from the raw food kick she was on before) and this was the best I could come up with. Hope she likes it.
4. I had four egg whites left over after the cheesecake, so I made cupcakes for the kids with Swiss Meringue frosting. Yummy.
5. I am very curious to know why my daughter as decided to stop going to bed at a reasonable time. It took almost two hours last night.
6. Weaning sucks
7. Found out Jamie has to work overtime next Friday, so am grasping at straws trying to fing a babysitter so I can still go to the Otttawa Valley Mom's launch party. Here's hoping...
